Dungeon Crawler World · Season: Earth
The CrawlSo Far
Eleven floors across eight books, sealed to where you are. Nothing below the premise shows until your position reaches it.
Carl is a Coast Guard veteran in Seattle. At three in the morning, in January, he goes outside in a t-shirt, boxer shorts and no shoes to catch his ex-girlfriend's prize-winning Persian show cat, Princess Donut. It is the only reason either of them lives past the next ninety seconds.
Every man-made structure on Earth collapses at once and everyone indoors dies. The Borant Corporation has foreclosed on the planet under the laws of the galactic Syndicate. The survivors get a countdown and a choice: go down into the dungeon, or die up here when the mining crews arrive.
The dungeon has eighteen floors, each on a clock, and when a clock stops the floor collapses with everyone still on it. It is also a television programme, broadcast across the galaxy, and the survivors are the cast. Ratings buy sponsors, sponsors send loot, and loot buys another floor of life. Being entertaining is a survival stat.

The Descent
Floor numbers and book titles are printed on the covers, so they stay visible. What happened on them does not.
